Technological innovation emerges when real-world challenges meet new ideas and solutions.
Through our challenges, we work closely with the German Navy to identify capability gaps and operational needs within the maritime security and defence domain. These challenges are then presented as innovation competitions open to companies, start-ups, universities and research institutions.
Submitted solutions are evaluated by an expert jury. Promising concepts may then be tested and validated in real-world maritime testing and evaluation environments provided by the German Navy, helping to accelerate the transition from innovation to practical application.
